Why do you need to create a template to initiate conversation with a customer?
According to Facebook guidelines, a session automatically closes within 24 hours and thus you cannot initiate direct messaging with the customers (may happen sometime during long weekends or holidays). To continue communication and provide ongoing support, it is crucial to reach out to the customers. To do so, you can create a template and send it to the customer. As soon as we send the template to the customer and they reply on it, a new window will be opened. Resulting to us reaching out and engaging with them effectively, resolving their queries and concerns in a timely manner.
Let's see how to create a template to initiate chat with a customer from Pragma CRM (Connect) :
- In the left navigation click on Broadcast
- Click New Template
- Create the Template
-Add a name to the template (won't be visible to the customers)
-Add the body/text for the message to be send.

Note: Templates created specifically to "initiate conversation" with a client shouldn't contain images or videos.
